About
Our Denomination
West Side Moravian Church is a part of the Moravian denomination of churches. Within the Moravian Church we are a part of the Northern Province and the Eastern District. Locally, we are apart of the Bethlehem Area Moravian, which includes five Moravian Churches. You can learn more about our denomination and what it stands for at the Moravian Church in North America’s website.
Our Church
Our church was originally founded as a Sunday School for Lehigh Canal workers. Since then we have expanded into a full worshiping church, while still maintaining our Sunday School. Our church has been operating since 1860.
Our Congregation
We are a fairly small congregation, with over 200 members. Although we are a small group, we are all very involved in our church. Regularly, members of our congregation participate in several church activities. Some of those activities include Moravian Woman’s Fellowship, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Senior Friends, and a Dart Ball League.
Our Pastor
Our current pastor is Rev. Gordon Sommers.
Our Services
During the summer, our weekly Sunday services begin at 10am.
When we resume our normal schedule in the fall, services will begin at 10:45am. Sundays school will begin at 9:30am and end at 10:30am.
